Since joining the firm in August of 2011, Chris Martin has worked in a number of practice areas including business and corporate litigation, personal injury litigation, collections, criminal defense, and landlord-tenant disputes. Chris has also overseen a number of real estate transactions.
Chris received his J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law, where he was elected Student Body President in 2010. During law school, Chris interned in the MadisonCountyCommonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and in Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Litigation Office in New York City. He also served on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Journal of Law and Politics.
Prior to law school, Chris participated in the Teach for America program, teaching in an under-resourced public school in Harlem. He later taught and coached football and baseball at St. Anne’s-Belfield School inCharlottesville. Before his teaching days, Chris spent two years working as an aide in the U.S. House of Representatives inWashington,D.C.
Chris and his wife, Laura live in Culpeper.
