Repeat DUI Driver Arrested After Stafford Crash [FREDERICKSBURG, VA]
Repeat DUI Driver Arrested After Stafford Crash; A repeat DUI driver was taken into custody following a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in Stafford County that injured four people and forced the temporary closure of U.S. Route 1. Stafford Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ryan Wilbur confirmed the wreck occurred just after 3 p.m. in the 3700 block of Richmond Highway when a Honda ran a stop sign exiting D&M Discount Auto Sales and broadsided a southbound Chevrolet, leaving the Chevrolet driver no time to brake.
First on the scene was Deputy N.J. Amato, accompanied by an off-duty EMT, who administered aid to the 32-year-old Honda operator. Due to the severity of his injuries, the driver was airlifted to a regional trauma center. The Chevrolet driver and both passengers were also transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
